
Special Request humbly began with a challenge and specific request
for a gluten-free vegan dessert. Wheat and dairy are part of almost
everything we consume. Vanessa began to experiment with different
recipes on order to create desserts that would not only be tasty and
aesthetically pleasing but also fill this specific niche. One that is filled
with unsatisfying desserts that fall way short on taste and presentation.
With this in mind she embarked in intensive research related to celiac
disease, autism, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. This in
turn led her to the kitchen, where she labored restlessly for months
developing the flavors, textures and look that has become
